So if you've missed it, the good news is that you only miss one week. So you can catch up if you want to, but we're going to jump right into week two. Chapter two of what? Of Ephesians. So here's what's interesting. This week, Ash and I went to a pastor's conference. And usually Ashley's not down with pastor conferences, you know what I'm saying? Because they're a snooze fest, as she calls it. But this time, she wanted to go to this conference because her favorite theologian, she's got a super crush on him. His favorite theologian and scholar was gonna be there. NT Wright, some of you guys might know, he was gonna be there. And we're gonna spend the whole day with him. And we did, and it was great. And we took a picture with him. So let me show you the first picture we took with him. This is, you know, that's him. And. Yeah, and Ashley's, like, holding herself back. I noticed, because then I was like, you know what? I'm gonna make her dreams come true. I'm gonna figure out how I can get AI to help me. And I got a picture of what I think she wanted the picture to look like that. That's the picture. That's what she really wanted. It's fake. It's fake. Okay, first of all, AI, what's with the hand in the. What's what? What's up with that? I was offended right there. I was like, that's why don't trust AI. Write that down. Then get rid of that. I'm not worried. Cause you know what? Once you go brown. Hold up. You can't back down. You don't back down. I say you don't turn around. Okay, okay. All right. Anyways. Anyways, let's talk about spiritual stuff now. So what's interesting as well is, like, so the whole day. The whole day. This is what's ridiculous. Well, the whole day he could talk about anything. And the bro says, hey, today I wanna talk about Ephesians chapter 2. He spent the whole day talking about. Ashley was like, this is awesome. She texted me. She's like, you don't even. This is your message. I'm like, I can't do this message. First of all, I'm not British. I don't sound like Harry Potter. Second of all, he's too smart. He's just. He's profound and he's great. He's an author. In fact, he's the only guy, living guy I know who actually has a translation of the New Testament. Like, he has a Bible translation that he wrote. Like, I wrote two books. He wrote a Bible. Like, that's. I was like, I can never do that now. He's also written 80 books. Definitely recommend him. And, and, and. And he did write a book called the Vision of Ephesians. So if this talk for you doesn't do it for you, read this. Okay? This is gonna be great for you. So let's jump right in. Okay, so here's what I wanna do, what I like to do when it comes to Scripture. And if you don't know, let me just tell you what I do. There are two ways that you can read scripture and get stuff out of it. There's an exegetus way, an exegesis. If you guys know, if you don't know, it's a Greek term, to basically find out the context of the passage, what's really happening. It's diving into it. The word actually literally means to lead from. But basically that's your foundation, and you're kind of understanding what that scripture says. So when you read the scriptures, you go, okay, okay. Who is he writing to? What's the context? That's really important. I think it's really great to do that. But there's another way of also doing it. And that is not the exegesis way, it's the eisegesis way. Can you say isogesis? Yeah, it's not a protein. It's eisegesis way to read the scriptures. And that is where you literally. It Means to lead into, which means you go into it and you find meaning. So how you relate, I think we need both, I think we need context because that's how you get the accurate, you know, scriptures of what was actually saying. You get complete doctrine when you read it in context. But you also, also you need, and you need to understand what the meaning and how it could relate to us. Because we know the scriptures were not written to us. They're for us, but not to us. Does that make sense? They're written to a particular group of people. And so Ephesians is written to a particular church. And this church, as we found out last week, multi ethnic church with a lot of Jews, a lot of Gentiles in there. And so Paul is addressing them. He doesn't necessarily have you in mind, but. But he's addressing them and what we can learn from them. Why? Because we're connected to this movement of Jesus. And so he starts off chapter two. So that's where you pick it up, by the way, if you want to, if you have our app. If you don't have our app, you should get an app. And our notes on there are in there. And so you can follow along as well. But I wanna jump right in. So I'm gonna start with not the first verse because the first couple of verses he kind of talks about something that I think we all kind of can agree. First couple of verses or three verses he talks about how, hey guys, basically, let me just tell you, I know we're all different, but we're the same. We're the same in sense of like, we've all kind of sinned, we've all fallen short. Like you're like, ah, I don't know if I like that word. I get that, I get that because some of us have like some memories with just being called that, labeled a sinner. But what he says is something that's really freeing. He says, hey, all of us are uniquely imperfect, right? We've all missed the mark. Can we just be honest? We're not perfect people. And the crowd went, amen. Yes, we're not perfect people. We mess up. And he said, yeah, we've messed up and some of us have messed up and sinned in the sense we've missed the mark so much that we've been complicit in doing some things that are not good, that we've allowed injustice in our world, we've allowed certain things and we're complicit and, and that opens the door for God's justice. To make things right. And he says, we've been subject to the wrath of God. And so when you read into it and you understand it, what he's talking about is that there is a neglect of God that we could experience. We could be, basically, God could say, you know what? I'm kind of done. I'm walking away. And honestly, if God walked away from us, if he left us alone, it's the worst thing that could happen. We would cease to exist, literally, Because. Because we live and breathe in him. And so he says, hey, let's be honest. We've all done this. And then he says, but let me talk to you about something more important, bigger. And here's where we pick it up. He starts off, he says the word. What's the word? First word. He says, what? But. But. How big of a but? Is it? Big but. Okay, thank you. Thank you. Thanks, Peter. Okay, it's a big but. It's a big but. Okay, Big buts in the Bible. I don't know. Whatever. Okay, so here's a big but. He says this. He says, but, but, but, but. Knowing that, that being said, we all agree we've sinned because of his, who is his God. Great what? Love. Not concern, not worry, not disgust for his great love for us. God, who is rich. How rich is he? Rich. He's rich, wealthy. He's flowing in it. In what mercy? He made us alive with Christ, so great. Love gave us life. Just remember that. He says, when we were dead in our transgressions, it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised up with Christ and seated us with him. Grace made a way for you, made a space for you at the table. What table? The table of God. Grace pulled out a chair for you, saved a seat for you, for you. We were all this, but, but, but because of his love and grace and mercy, God did this. He pulls out a chair in the heavenly table banquet, and he says, you are a part of this table. You're not gonna earn a seat at the table. You just get it. You get in. Why? Because grace in what Jesus did has done this. It says here he raised him and seated us with him in heavenly realms in order. In order. In the coming ages, he might show. He might show his incomparable riches again. He's like, I'm so rich. I'm so rich. He might show. God might show his riches, how wealthy he is. He can burn money, in a sense. He says, I'm so rich in his grace expressed in his what kindness to us in Christ Jesus. So what is this saying here? See, I believe what's. Obviously, he's speaking to a people group who understand not getting a seat at the table because the Gentiles would not get a seat at the table with the Jews. He's alluding to that. But also what he's alluding to is this idea of wanting to belong. I think for all of us, all of us, we struggle with the sense of belonging. Have you ever wanted to belong to a particular group of people? A club? If you're a teenager, you struggle with that. You're like, I just wanna be in this group. And you're like, what can I do to get in this group? And what's interesting, teenagers, is that teenagers grow up and we still struggle with this. We still wanna be in that mom's group or that neighborhood club or that club or whatever. Can I be in this club, The Cub. We wanna be in clubs. Clubs of finer things. The office, anyways. Yeah, we all want to. What happens, though, when we just struggle, struggle, struggle, and we can't get in? What happens to us? We feel like we just don't belong or we're not enough. And then. And then. And then sometimes some, like, we are. We were a part of a club. That happens sometimes. We were a part of a club and then we're not part of that club because something devastating happened. You used to be part of a group, and you can't be a part of this group anymore because, well, they died and your status changed. You know, something happened in your marriage, and you're like, now I'm not that anymore. I didn't even want to be a part of this club. And now I'm part of this. I'm divorced and I don't want to be. It's fine, but I don't. I never thought I would be a part of this. I'm single again. I never thought I would be that. I don't even know how to act like that. I don't even know what to do. Sometimes we find ourselves. We're like, shoot, I don't have any parents anymore. Both my parents have died. You're like, this is a weird club to be a part of. We all find ourselves in places where, like, I don't know. And then you feel like you don't really belong anywhere. You'd rather be somewhere. You just wanna. And the tough thing is that we feel, like, a pressure to just fit in. We just want to fit in. And there's a difference between fitting in and belonging. Belonging is that you're already connected to your family. Fitting in is like you, hey, hey, hey, get in where you fit in. And sometimes you can walk into a space where people go, hey, this is what you need to fit in. And if you can't be like this, and if you can't be like, you don't fit here. You don't belong. And sometimes churches end up doing that, end up being a place where they go, oh, everybody's welcome. Whoever can fit in, pay the membership, wear the jacket. You don't just belong. And here, what the scripture is telling us is that God has done something to make us all belong. But he goes further into it. Ephesians 2. He says this in verse 8, he says, keeps on going. He talks about this grace. He says, for it is by grace. Remember that you've been saved through faith. And this is not from what yourselves. It's a what. It's a what. It's a. It's a gift, guys. It's a gift. It's a gift. It's not by works. Not by works. Now, that word works. You remember that word works because that is alluding to Moses law. The word here is connected to the scriptures that Jewish people, because I believe he's talking to them in this point. He's like, hey, Jewish people, you remember that it's not connected to works. So no one can boast, because Jewish people would always boast on their righteousness because it was connected to all the laws that they followed. Paul, even the guy, the writer, he's like, hey, guys, let me just tell you, I was the best. I was the best. You know why? Cause I fulfilled all the law. My works were amazing. I was a Pharisee of the Pharisees. You know why? Because someone had. Was measuring it and counting it, and I scored high on this. He says, but no one can know. And then he says, but let me just tell you, Let me tell you. We, though, he says, we, we are God's handiwork. Though. He said, I know you Jewish people were like, all about that, but let me tell you how it's all changed. We are now God's handiwork. Why is that so important? Because the Greek word here, because the whole letter was written in Greek. It's not written in English. So there's so much things that we. There's that we to discover. But here he says, hey, we are God's handiwork. That word right there is the word poema, which comes when we get the word poem, not prose. So he's Talking about this idea that you are God's beautiful creative being. Prose and poem are two different things. Literally, right? Prose is like, this is what prose is writing. This is it. Poem is where you get creative. Poem is where you start. We have song and dance, right? We have songs, we make. It's where the creative mind lives. In here. He says, you are a created creative being. You are. God's like. He's like, what am I gonna make? What am I gonna make? Boom. And he goes, oh, that's good. Genesis, right? You are God's masterpiece. In some translations, it says, you're God's masterpiece. Okay? Right. He was like, and what are we doing? We created in Christ Jesus. So when Jesus did something on the cross, he did something. And I just want. He has done something. His new life in him. We're created in Christ Jesus. And then he says to do something. To do. What's the word? To do what? Good works. Good. What's that word? Works, which means something totally different here. Good works. Here is the Latin word where we get goodness from. It's the word. He's not talking about the law of Moses. In fact, if you were to translate this, I'll just do it for you, okay? I'll just do it. He says, basically this. You are a beautiful creature that brings goodness into the world. You're like, no, that's a unicorn. No, you see, that's what it means. You are God's beautiful creature that brings goodness into the world. You don't follow laws and regulations. No, you do good works. And good works is you bring goodness and beauty and love and grace into the world. That's what you do. That's what you do means totally different. Then he goes on, he says, hey, let me just tell you. Let me just tell you, because right there, he was talking to Jewish people. But then he goes on, he says, let me just talk to the Gentiles, any Gentiles in the house. And they said, woo, yes. He says, don't forget. Don't forget, though, that you. That you Gentiles, you used to be what outsiders. Remember that feeling? Don't like that feeling, right? If you ever walked into a crowd and you're like, I'm an outsider. I mean, I have a lot of those experiences. But I'm just telling you, I mean, I recently went into a place and I was like, man. And the conference was all about, like, hey, we are having a big family reunion. And I was like, it definitely felt like it. Because I felt like I was crashing a family reunion. I was not invited. I was like, but you told me I could come. But everybody's talking to everybody else, and you just feel like an outsider. But outsiders. What happens with outsiders is when you have a group of people, there's something that society, all of us, do. And he alludes to it. He says, you used to be outsiders. You. You were called. You were called by the people sitting next to you. You were called the un. What? Uncircumcised heathens. We're like, do you have to bring up. Why would you. What a name? What a name. Like, seriously, here's what we do with outsiders, right? We don't like people, they're other than us. We think they're shady. We think they're wrong. They think with the other side, they don't have it together. The first thing we start doing when we're being immature is we start calling them names. Oh, there. They just nickname a whole group of people. You know, we do it politically, we do it socially. We do it in all the ways. He says, you were called that by the Jews. Remember that? By the Jews who were what, they were proud of their circumcision. I'm sure he was like, who were proud of the circumcision. Like that's anything to be proud of. Anyways, he says, and even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts, but. But. He says, but you, but you, all of you now, all of you now, but you, all of you have been united with Christ. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him by. By the blood of Christ. By the blood of Christ. And some translation says, on the cross. On the cross. And so we've understood this a little bit. There's an image that you maybe grew up with. Let me show it to you. And this image is probably one that you grew up with, right? You're like, okay, you. I'm on one side, and then I gotta get to God. And there's a chasm, right? And the cross of Jesus is the cross. And you walk across it and you get to the other side, and there is God. Okay? You guys are following along, right? You and God. That's what the idea is. And you've heard this, and it's true. But I would say there's more. There's more to it that Jesus, what he did by his blood and his sacrifice didn't just do this. Even though you're like, this is it. This is the message. This is the gospel. I got it. It's over. And Got it? This is incomplete. It's incomplete. Why? Well, according to Paul, in the book of Ephesians, he writes to them. He says, no, there's more, guys. There's more. There's more. He says, so you guys all were separate, and you guys were separate, and you guys had all these things, and you've been made beautiful. And let me tell you what the cross has done, though. So he starts talking even more. He starts writing. He says, let me tell you. For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into what one people. When in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with his commandments and regulations. Jewish guys. He made peace with Jews and Gentiles by creating in him one. Help me out. One what? New people, one new humanity, one new human from two groups together as one body. This one body. Christ reconciled what? He reconciled what both groups to God by means of his death on the cross. And our hostility towards each of us was put to death. He brought this good news of peace to. To you Gentiles who are far away from him, and peace to the Jews who are near. Now all of us, all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done. He says, let me give you a more accurate. The second part of this graphic. Let me give you another one. The second part of this looks like this. It's you, the cross, and what others that now you've not just been reconciled to God, you are now reconciled to each other. You're reconciled to each other. It's. You have to get this. You have to understand this. You have to understand this. There's a guy who wrote a interesting book. His name is Andy Stanley. He's a pastor author, and he wrote a book called Irresistible. And in that book, he writes about vertical and horizontal spirituality. He talks about how this idea of vertical spirituality is the spirituality that he kind of grew up in. He grew up Baptist, and he was like, you know, this is our. Our deal was that our times with God, our quiet times, our Bible reading, our prayer life, our, you know, our giving, tithing, attendance, a lot of things we did growing up was connected to our relationship with God. I mean, it wasn't kind of works, but it was very much about my relationship with God. So if I knew God, I was mature. If my maturity was connected to how much Bible, how much prayer, how much closeness I felt to God. So it was just vertical. It was very Much vertical. See, I grew up with that. And so we, we. We just live that kind of life. Right there. This is me and God. Me and God. Me and God, he says, but we ignored the teachings of Jesus, a lot of them, which talk about. Not just that, it talks about a horizontal spirituality. And that if you take vertical and horizontal, it makes an image. Anybody guess what that image would be? A cross. Right? So the, the horizontal spirituality. Is that how you and I relate to one another? That God didn't just reconcile ourselves to him, but also to each other. So that Jesus says, hey, hey, hey, hey. If you loved me, you would have taken care of these people. If you feed them, if you love them, you feed me. You love me. That there's no way that we can feed. Feel closeness to God in our prayer life and then ignore the people around us who are hurting. We can't, like, go, I'm close to God, but either compromise or ignore or just look away from the people on the other side. That there is a. There's a spirituality that says that I love God and you can tell because I love other people. And Jesus says, hey, this is how they're gonna know that you're my disciples. Not by your prayer life. Because the prayer life, people, they get up there and they say all kinds of things in front of everybody. And they're gonna get what they're gonna get praise of people. But I'm gonna tell you, if you love one another, that's how people. The world will know you are my what? Disciples. The way you love each other. So, yes, yes. So Paul's saying to this church, hey, guys, love what you're doing, but just want you to know it does matter a whole lot how you treat other people. Are you reconciled to other people? Do you make up space for other people to belong? Have you walked across the aisle, across the neighborhood, across the whatever, to be reconciled with your brother and sister? Or are you just vertically, hey, it's just me and, and God and me and God. He says, ah, that's not friends. That's not really enough. He says, that's not gonna. That's not gonna work. Because once we misunderstand that, we misunderstand the importance of who we are created to be, we totally, totally miss this. Totally miss this. My first communion was in Kuwait. I was. I think I was 17. My friends and I. I knew some people. My friends were Indians, but they were, like, Catholics. And we were gonna go party and I told my mom that I was just staying over at her friends. And then we all went out and all that. And so it was. I don't know what. I think it was New Year's. It was something important. You know, I'm saying parties were important back then, okay? And now not so much, but now. So they're like, hey, we can do this, but we gotta go to midnight mass first. And I was like, midnight mass? What is that? They're like, it's a Catholic thing. And I was like, cool, cool. I'm good. Let's go. Let's go. They're like, you're. You're good? I'm like, yeah, I'm good. Just don't tell any Muslims, you know? I'm like, just go. So I was like. I went there and there, had the. I was in the service, and I didn't want to disrespect anything, but I was just like, what am I gonna do? They're like, oh, just do what we do, bro. I was like, just do. No one's gonna know the difference. And I was like, okay. You know, teenagers. And they're like, okay. Now they're like, okay, we're doing communion. I was like, what happens now? They're like, oh, we gotta go up to the priest. I go, do what? What do you gotta do? And he's like, just do what we do. Drink the thing. Do the thing and do this. And I was like, what is this? He says, just do it. Okay? It's the cross. I don't know what it is. Just do this. Just do what we do. And I was like, got it, man. Got it. So I went up there, I was like, hey, I show up. I'm like. I think, you know, I'm like. My face is like. This is the most Catholic face I can get. You know, like this. I'm one of you guys. And the guy was like, all right. So he did the thing, and I was like. And I went back and sat down. And, you know, it's interesting because I had no idea what I was doing. And some of us, we've seen this. If you grew up in the faith, you probably know what it is. But a lot of the world does not understand the beauty and significance of it. And what I love about Mosaic is not that we are non denominational. Cause you're like, yeah, I thought you were non denominational. Well, we're more interdenominational. Non denominational means we are like, we don't do none of the things. Well, we do. We do a little bit of denominational things. Like, some of you guys walked into Mosaic. And you're like, oh, I don't know about this vibe outside they've got. And you walked in and you saw candles. You're like, this is the place. This is the place. I can get with this. I can get with this. Others of you, it was communion. You're like, they got communion every day. All right. That's awesome. That's great. Some of you guys like the cross. So we do some things that are interdenominational. We do. We do. And the reason is because there's beauty. But you got to understand, right? So going back to the Catholic experience that I had, do you know the powerful symbolism in the sign that they make? So when they touch their forehead, here's what they're saying. They're saying that God the Father is bigger than I could ever understand. That's why you touch your forehead. He's bigger. I cannot explain him. I cannot confine Him. I can begin to understand Him. But that's the beginning. He's God the Father, ever, ever. Awesome. And he is the head of all things. So you touch the head and then they go down, and they touch down here, which is kind of like the gut, the soul. And basically, what they're saying is, and now the Son, and the Son is the Father, part of the Father who became one of us in human and lived inside of us, where he became Emmanuel. And so we move from the God who cannot be the Father we cannot understand, to God the Son who. Not just that we can't understand Him. We saw Him. He lived within us, and he was part of us. He was flesh and blood. He had a heart, he had soul. So he is God the Son. And then they go, and God the Holy Spirit. And what they're saying is that he has now reconciled us to him and to each other. And we are all part of this because now we all have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. It's a beautiful picture of the whole gospel of what God has done, based on the letter written to Ephesians to remind them, hey, this is it. This is it. And that's why he kind of ends. He kind of starts going. He says, so. So now you Gentiles are no longer, what, strangers and foreigners for you are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family. Together. Together. He says, we are his house, which I'll get to in just a little bit. Built on the foundations of the prophets and apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Jesus. Sorry, Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully Joined together in him becoming a holy temple. Let me just read that again. Becoming a what? A holy. A holy what? Temple. We are becoming a holy temple. For through him, you Gentiles are also being made a part of this dwelling where God lives by his spirit. I don't want you to miss this. He's saying, friends, do you know who Jesus was? He said, you know, guys, you grew up Jewish. You understand this Gentile? Do you guys have temples? Temples are buildings that we make, right? The earthly things that we make. And we believe that God fills it. So you come to the temple and the temple is where the Spirit of God is. And the Jewish people were like, yeah, yeah, I remember the temple. Yeah, we've been to the temple and the holy of holies and the altar and all that. And God's presence would be in the temple. And that is where Earth met the divine. And what he's saying is, can I remind you, Jesus was a walking, talking temple. It was where God filled a human fully. An earthly house that now had the presence of God in it. He was walking around. When he walked around, it was a temple, a space, an earthly space. Walking around with holding it was the container of God's presence. That's why he had the power to heal and forgive. That's why he had the power to do all these things. Do you not know that? And then he's saying, and by the way, do you know what he did with the cross? Do you know what he did by reconciling himself to us and to the world? By doing all of that, what he has now done. I don't want you to miss this. You, you, you, you, you, you, you. You didn't belong once. You used to do this. But for his great love, he's made you alive. He's done something. You are his beautiful piece. You've done all this things to bring goodness into the world. Let me just tell you why. Why? Why? Because now you are a temple of his holy presence. We humans, earthly bodies now are given his presence. So you don't have to go anywhere. He doesn't live in temples. He lives in the hearts and lives of people. He said he's made us alive. What do you mean alive? He's given us his holy spirit to live in us. You and I are walking, talking temples. Here's the question. Who's allowed in? Who's allowed in? Who's allowed in? Is everybody allowed in or there are some people who don't belong? Can we be safe spaces in our lives? Can we come Together as a church. When we come here, the Holy Spirit living inside of all of us. You, you, you, you, you, you. We're all here. Do we create this presence where he says, when two or more are gathered, I am there in the midst of you. I just want you to know there's something alive that takes place. And we have to get this right, friends. We have to get this right, because we have a history. The church has a history of saying, no, no, no, you don't belong. You don't belong. You don't belong in this temple. Which, again, or in this church. You can't fit into this church. You don't belong to this church. You can't come to this. You can't. You can't have. You can't be a member of this church. You got to do this, this, this, this, this, and jump this high. You can't do this. You can't do that. And here he's saying, guys, what are you saying? God doesn't live in your churches? No, he is. He was in my church Sunday. No, he wasn't. He was in you. He's in you. And then he walked out, as when you walked out. And then he was a target, complaining about the prices. That's what he was doing. He's with you. You are where heaven and earth meet. You are where heaven and earth meet. You are a sacred. That's why he says, you are freaking beautiful. You are a beautiful creature that brings goodness, my presence into the world. So here's what we gotta do. It's simple. We just gotta act like it. We're not perfect, he knows, but we just gotta act like it. We got to commit to act like that. So that's just chapter two. Chapter three is going to be interesting. It's going to be interesting. Just really quick. This idea of being connected to one another, that we are all connected, that we're all united. One of our trustees, Sheldon, took it upon himself to actually create LinkedIn for mosaic. And so if you have an app, if one of the feature items is Mosaic Link, and where. He just wants people to get connected to one another professionally. And so if you're ever looking for something, so when you get a chance, definitely check that out. But let's pray together and see what God has for us this week. Let's pray. Lord God, we thank you for this letter. Thank you for your scriptures. Thank you for Paul, thank you for reminding us who we are, the depth of who you are and what you've done for us. God, I pray that you would have your way with us. I pray that you would have your way with me. God, that's our prayer. And if we haven't, if we felt like we don't necessarily belong to this group that call themselves Christians, God, I pray that if there's a person here who's watching, listening in this room, that regardless of what people have made them feel, God, I pray that you would remind them today, supernaturally allow them to feel that they belong here. They're welcome. They're a part. You had them on your mind. God, do in us what we could never do by ourselves. Remind us that grace has allowed us to come in and there's grace for all. God, have your way. Have your way with us. [00:36:45] Speaker C: Thanks for listening to this message from Mosaic church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
